We all have a nostalgic spot for Legos (until you step on one of course), and Ford has captured the kid in us all by building the latest Ford Explorer SUV in Legos. It is to commemorate the launch of Ford’s 2012 Ford Explorer SUV, and the grand opening of the world’s largest Lego theme park in Orlando, Florida. So what are the specs on the Lego Explorer? Surprisingly the stats for this ride are not too far from the real thing when you consider it weighs over 2600 pounds. This is more than the half the weight of the real deal. The cost is $40,000. It took 380,000 Lego bricks which are about ten cents a piece to manifest this price tag. Furthermore, it took 2,500 hours and 22 master builders to create this Lego ride. The only down side to this ride is that you can’t drive it.
