Acne and pimples point to congestion or imbalances in your body. Depending on where they are located on your body you can tell which organ is affected.

Below are the regions of the body that are affected which correlate with your pimple location.

• Forehead pimples: Issues in your intestinal area

• Pimples on your cheek: lungs and breast area are affected

• Nose: Heart Area

• Jaw: Kidney Area

• Shoulder: Digestive Area

• Chest: Lungs and heart area

• Upper back: Lung area

• Around the mouth: Reproductive area

There are several causes for adult acne.

1. Hormone Changes

Spikes in testosterone can cause an increase in oil production that can clog pores. This allows P. acnes bacteria to grow leading to a pimple.

2. Your Diet

The type of foods that can exacerbate acne are simple carbs and sugars, dairy, and chocolate.

3. Stress

Experts have fond that stress can lead to acne because during stress you release cortisol. This hormone triggers the body to produce more oils that can clog pores.

4. Medical Conditions

Any health issue that is associated with a hormonal component can cause acne.  Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is an often overlooked medical condition that contributes to ongoing acne because of the hormone disturbances it can cause.
